Late update, part 2 - Torres del Paine, El Chalten, Mendoza

5 fun and crazy days in Benos and we've hit the road again.... for about 50h.... thus when we realized so Zosia has got some knitting equipement and was ready to go.  As she did not take from home, she has knitted gloves and  hat for herself. Funny time.
The busein Argentina are really great so it is not as horrible to travel by bus as in Europe. Haha, I was saying one day that I'm not gonna get on the bus for longer than 15 or 20h never again. And what? 50h in South AMerica. Well, never say never...

Ok, Finally me made it and arrived to Puerto Natales in very south end of Patagonia (transfer in Rio Gallegos and Rio Turbio). We slept there one night in normal bed what was very very nice!!! Packed our stuff ending up with one very heavy backpack and small one lighter but not too much - we took too much water - no point of carrying more than one or two bottles b/c all streams have potable water.
Nevermind, we arrived to Torres del Paine, got off the bus and decided to walk to Torres. When we arrived up there itr was already cloudy and snowing, but still it was an amazing vie. Went down to camping, cooked and to "bed"! I bearely slept 2h because I was freezing all naght long... In the morning I was really looking forward to hear the alarm to get of this tent because when you walk - it's much warmer :)
Second day we went up to Terres once more since the weather was much better, but when we finished eating and packing stuff it started to get a bit cloudy. When we arrived up there - cloudy again but less than last afternoon. At least clouds where behind the towers not in front :) After that we went donw and headed to other camping. We walked along the rive,  went trough beautiful and very colorful alpine meadows, nice sun and quite warm. At some point the wind got stronger, but you know - normal thing in Patagonia, you must be prepared for wind. But later on the horror started. The wind was that strong that we kept falling down and weren't able to walk in some blows. To remind you we had this big backpack on our back - about 15kg of weight... and still we were not able to stand still. Zosia one time was already sitting when the blow came and moved her a bit further... But anyways, we survivd altough didn reach the campping which intended at the beginning. This night we came up with some improvement of the tent to warm it up, it worked perfectly. And we put our sleeping bags together to make one big what was much warmer than two separate. And more layers of clothing :)
Third day we was walking all day in snow, sometimes more than 10-15cm. At the end we were totally soaked and frozen, but luckily people in the lodge let us to warm up and dry by the fire what was really nice and probably saved our health. When we wre puting up the tent it was snowin, later on it was snowing so soon our tent looked like an actuall  igloo. Last day we walked a bit towards the big glacier but didnt make it all the way there b/c we had to catch the boat at noon. Being on the boat we saw how the weather was really beautifull all around except the place where we were for four days. It seems like it was an epicentrum of "disaster".
AT least we saw those peaks in sun and nice weather leaving the park, from he bus. AT least that... :)
No, but all in all it was quite an experience and we enjoyed the time there, had a lot of fun and definitely if ever you will have an opportunity to go there - worth making an effort.
ANd the feeling in sleeping in actuall bed after those 3 nights... and waking up in warm not cold.... priceless!!! :)

Ok, after Torres del Paine we headed to El Calafate where we transferred for El Chalten. In El Chalten weather was extremely beautiful - apparently rewarding us for last few days. We arrived there 10pm and wanted to find a free camping which were supposed to be there. It appared to be not tru any more - both were closed. So we decided to hide somewere in the bushes, illegally and next day see what will happen. We did not have any more energy to look for something else. It was the place 50m from the viositors center, 50m from he owner house what we realized later on, and about 10m from huuuuuuuge, steep mountian wall. One day, on the way to the tent my friend met that woman who worked in visitor center and owned the place. It was quite close to our hiden home. It was fun :) we slept there 3 nights. again 2 days spent on trekking - awesome time. We were both so extremely happy!! Beautiful scenery, good company, sun and perfect temperature... Wow! Life is great :) We saw Cerro Torres with lake at the bottom of the glasier, we walked along the lake towards the glacier wanting to get on it but the shore became more and more steep and we were a bit afraid of all those stones which became less stable as well.
Next day we walked to see Fitrz Roy. Didn't make it all the way to the3 end of path but still it was amazin, and the colours of one plant which is covering that place.... all possible from green, yellow, red, orange to brown... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

That's it for now of Patagonia. Again for 45h on a bus to get to Mendoza. I've read whole book by that time.

Mendoza - nice city  but nothing really amazing. One day we went to Maipu, which is winerier area, for biking trip. There - winery museum, chocolate & liquor tasting, lunch somewhere in the orchard. Great time :)
After Mendoza - 17h on a bus and now in Salta. Here we decided to spend 2 nights instead of one. We need to slow down a bit and have a bit of rest before next 1,5 crazy months with Stefan, my other friend who is gonna join us.

That is it for now guys, see you later!
