I hate taxi drivers means how we have got to Ecuador

Hmm... what was next.... From Huaraz we decided to go to the beach as a reward after all those suffers. First we wanted to stay in Peru thus decided to go close to the boarder with Ecuador, since we go there later on anyways. In Tumbes we slept and wanted to go to the beach. Took the taxi were except us got in other guy - friend of the driver. It was quite strange but well. On the way they started the story that the boarder will be closed next day for a week thus its better to cross the boarder now. When we decided - ok lets cross the boarder and go to the beach in Ecuador and the taxi driver wanted to turn but then the police started chasing us. The told us how corrupted is police and not to talk to them because they want money. The police argued with those 2 guys and told us not to pay them more. On the way back, being stupid, we didn't get off at Tumbes but went to the boarder with those guys. Basically what I´m aiming for is that it was the biggest scam I´ve ever had. It was waaaaaaaaaay bigger than any in India. And much more expensive. Basically they have got us paranoid how dangerous is crossing the boarder with Ecuador and that is better to go there with them., They gave us the price but at the end, when we were somewhere - they told us it was in dollars.
All in all nothing bad happened to us but we payed around 3 times more than we should... The most annoying is that I already went through some scams in India, traveled so much in South America and despite that - I did got into that stupid situation.
Oh - one more thing. On the way with those to-be-hated-taxi-drivers we stopped at some point in the middle of nowhere, turned back and then stopped on the side. Then one guy got off the car, went to the field, talked to somebody and then came back. What happened? There was a goat herd on the rice field of the taxi driver´s father. So we stopped to talk to the herdsman and chase those goats away... Well... yeah....
Ok, we crossed this stupid boarder with no problems and later on, after 2h taxi drive we reached Machala and from there got on the bus to Guayaguil.
First impression about Ecuador was that is much more well-off. The other thing - they didn´t let us take on the board our small backpacks which was quite annoying - we had all our personal belongings and valuable things in them.  Later on we noticed that people in Ecuador are muuuuuch more beautiful. Well, especially ladies. Guys are not so much, but at least better than Bolivia and Peru. Except - could be a bit taller.
But coming back to traveling - from Guayaguil we finally went to the beach. Bus to Santa Elena, there changed for small kind of bus (our bags were traveling on the roof) and finally arrived to Montañitas. Got off the bus and what? People cheering to us, lots of whiteys walking around and basically night life. And what more - fiesta celebrating some Catholic saint virgin. Local music, some food stands, people around. Yay!!!! It was meant to cheer us up after horrible time on the border. In the night, me and Zosia were sleeping peacefully and suddenly we have been woken up by some horrible yelling and we realized that somebody is horribly swearing. Few seconds later we realized that it is in Polish even though we are in Ecuador. But is has to be noticed that I have barely ever heard such a bad swearing. So who is that? Zosia asked if that is Stefan (our friend traveling with us). Yes it was him. So she´s got up quickly and opened the door looking for him. We started talking to him and he said, yes talk to me so I can know where you are. And when he said something Zosia realized he was crouching on the top of the wall, right under the roof.... The wall was 2m high and let´s say 15cm wide... And Stefan on top of that...I must have been awesome view. Basically, the point is that he is sleep-walker. But we never imagined he does it to such an extent. I must admit that, still, while I remember that story I can´t resist laughing. After all, he didn´t hurt himself almost at all except some scratches.
Ok, next day we moved to some camping place, put up the tent and .... ocean!!!!! waves!!!!! sweeeeeeeeeet!! That was so nice to be on the beach finally. When me and Zosia were looking for the camping site while Stefan was sleeping off his night escapades, I gave asked one, random guy if he knows any camping close by. He showed me that, we ended up in that place later on and what? We have met that guy few hours later, while he moved in. Funny. He is a totally crazy and funny Argentinian who we made such a good friends with, that he came along with us to Baños later on. We had so much fun with him - and his jokes (he was joking all the time almost) was smart what was even more great.
On the beach. What did we do there? Slept, hanged in the hammocks, read books, played on the waves, drunk some drinks made in watermelon "shell" with banana and pineapple juices, eat for breakfast and lunch fresh and ripe mangoes, melons, pineapples and others. Of course sunbathing or even sunburning, watching some sea life in cay left overs on the coast, watching sunset while sitting in the hammock. Oh - one night me and Zosia went for an adventure because we felt like getting palm leave. And we did so for what we had to climb up the palm tree. Zosia did much more professionally than me but both succeeded. That was like a paradise. Seriously. Such a great time after that bad experience with hated-taxi-drivers and our stupidity and naivete.
