Late update, part 1: Curitiba, Foz do Iguacu, Buenos Aires

Well well well, welcome back after...3 weeks..... sorry for such a long break but not enough time for writing. Even now there is a family argument about us using the house interenet... nevermind

So after Rio... there was Curitiba - but won´t write too much about it since it was freeeeeeeezing in that tropical Brasil so we spent some time wiuth Patrcik but left after 2 days. Left for Foz do Iguacu. And there the story begins. Hahaha, we´ve found a coushsurfing place. The guy, John told us it is not his room, but on side of his friends place and right beside John´s "casa de colches" which is "house of mattresses". So we ended up staying with a guy who was woning the place - music studio, doesn´t speak english, I am barely able to comunicate in Spanish yet, no water because there were some problems, 3 water turtles in the house, a loooooot of strange, african, chinease and lots more stuff. Ok, after we arrived we went to the bird zoo!!!!! A lot of fun because we could eneter the huge cages where the birds were flying around us. SO after all we loooooooooove tucans!!!!! They´re soooooo cool - cath the pants, look at you using their one eye since the beak was too big. Or not known specie of the birçd whoi apparently loved my right shoe- but the ritual was first to walk around my both feet counterclockwise and later on get on my right shoe and start squezing it with his feet. He did that about 5 times within 0,5h spent in that cage.  That was really fiunny - hard to describe but check out some pictures in picassa. After the birds we came back home where we were supposed to meet John and go out with him. But finally we ended up not seeing him any more and going out with that guy who owned the plkace... No, actually he did not because he had some rehersal. So we went out with some people (only one of them spoke english, other was death, other spoke only portuguese). But it was fun night out! AFter we came back this guy who spoke english platyed for us, sung for us and we talked until 3am... very very wiuerd night but a lot of fun. One of the most ridiculous moments in our trip :)

Next day, we went to see waterfalls from Argentinian side thus it was our good buye to Brasil! Now we´re in Argentina!!!!
Well... the watrefals are hard to describe... it is just incredible huge amount of water suddenly disapearing in the whole... and you are just above it and look down. Seriosuly, again - check out pics.  Sorry but not able to decribe it.

From Foz do Iguacu we took the bus to Buneos Aires... the way was only 17h...I will repeat... ONLY!!! Once we arrived it was nice and warm - we were soooo glad after Curitba and not too hot Foz (btw. we´ve got horribly bitten in Foz but those tine little flies what was itchy for almost one week). There we were staying with a family of a friend of a friend. But those people are crazyyyyyyy but soo much fun, they treated us as a part of family. Maggie, that friend of a friend is very nice and fun, we went to her boyfriends bday party where we felt like a monkeys - they barely spoke english so after 2h they started to talk to us and ask questions. That was the bday party around the table, only food and coca cola, national anthem at midnight and mum and aunt serving everybody. The guy was turning 24...
At the same time there were 2 german girls (they came to learn spanish) showing around in the house, dining with us and so on. At some point we were sitting at the table and speaking english, spanish, polish, german and frewnch with a bit of italian. English, french, spanish and italian (rememebr - I dont know this language) - that was me  trying to comunicate with Maggies father, Antonio.

But the separate story is about driving rules in Argentina. Becuase we couldn´t figure out who has the right to cross the road first we asked that.
So the conversation was following:
- Who cross the road first?
- That who is stronger!!
- But who is stronger? That who goes faster?
- OF COURSE!!!!!
- Ok, so it means that when you approach the cross road you accelerate?
- OF COURSE!!!
- Hmmm... and why you don´t have street signs?
- We do!! said Maggie showing us the tables with street names....
...
- So how long is your driving course before taking an exam?
- It is not obligatory! You can learn on your own and later on just pass an exam.
Well.... that explains a bit.... :)

Few minutes after that conversation,  there was red light and some cars stopping in front of us so what we did? We passed them and went on.
No more comments.  Oh, no - one more - once you get to Argentina be carefuill asa  pedestrain since you are very weak apparently.

Norma, Maggie´s mum, driving a car is another stroy but I think I dont dare to describe it....

Buenos as a city - we liked it a lot, has nice atmosphere, a lot of trees and green, we went to San Telmo to the market, we walked around in the center, Norma and maggie took us for the boat ridea nd some other car rides in the city. One was really great especially when Norma stopped behind the cross road but before the zebra and there were 2 policeman waiting for us. So beofre we started Norma said, you girls talk to them in Polish, I will in english. Thus we did so, they looked at us, started laughing and let us go...
